CPAsNET Names New Chairman
CPAsNET has recently named Gary Frisch, CPA, MBA as the Chairman of the Technology Executive Committee. Gary is currently a Partner at Monheit Frisch CPAs PLC, an Arizona based public accounting and business consulting firm. Gary currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arizona, and an MBA from Arizona State University.
CPAsNET was founded in 1994 and is an association of independently owned public accounting and consulting firms who share resources to provide clients with local, national, and international perspectives.
As the Chairman of the Technology Executive Committee, he will be responsible for the strategic planning of the organization’s technology special interest group. Gary was unanimously nominated and elected to the position by his peers.

Bennett Thrasher Elects Six to Firm Partnerships
Bennett Thrasher LLP, one of the largest full-service certified public accounting and consulting firms in the country, has announced the election of six firm professionals to partnership, effective July 1, 2019. The six represent six different practice areas: Financial Reporting and Assurance, International Person Financial Services, Real Estate Hospitality Tax, Risk Advisory, State and Local Tax, and Transaction Advisory Services.

Stephen Bradshaw, CPA – State and Local Tax
Steven advises technology and fast-growth companies on both sales and use tax issues. He also chairs the SALT Committee of DFK International, a worldwide association of independent accounting, tax, and business advisory firms. Steven earned his Bachelor’ degree from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Taxation degree from J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
Bridget Dunk, CPA – International Personal Financial Services
Bridget specializes in income tax, estate tax, and wealth planning services to individuals and closely-held businesses, and has significant experience on global mobility issues. Bridget obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis.
Brian Hamm, CPA – Financial Reporting and Assurance
Brian has more than 15 years of experience advising clients on due diligence and financial statement audits. He also serves as the co-leader of Bennett Thrasher’s technology industry segment. Brian earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Accountancy degree from Auburn University.
Mike Hostinsky, CIA, CISA – Risk Advisory Services
Mike leads the firm’s Risk Advisory Services practice and currently has more than 15 years of experience in both risk management and business consulting, with a specialized focus on IT and business risk consulting. Mike is also an active member of the Atlanta chapters of the Institute of Internal Auditors and ISACA, and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Kelly Smith, CPA – Real Estate Hospitality Tax
Kelly focuses on complex tax consulting and compliance for both domestic and foreign-owned businesses, while also co-leading tax training at the firm. Kelly earned her Bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and a Master of Taxation degree from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
Vijay Vaswani, CPA – Transaction Advisory Services
Vijay specializes in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures for private equity firms and strategic investors. He is also a Board Member for the BT Foundation, chairing the communications committee. Vijay earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, and a Master of Business Administration from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida.
